VP Finance

About the Role

A private-equity-backed industrial manufacturer in the $200-300M revenue range is hiring its first senior finance leader since the acquisition closed. You will own FP&A, treasury, and lender reporting, lead a 12-person team, and run an ERP consolidation in year one. The role reports to the CEO and the PE operating partner, with a direct line to the board on every major decision.

What You'll Do

• Own FP&A end to end: the annual budget, a rolling 13-week cash forecast, and monthly variance reviews with plant leadership
• Lead treasury and lender relationships, including covenant calculations and the monthly compliance certificate
• Build and present the monthly reporting package and quarterly board materials for the CEO and PE sponsor
• Manage and develop a 12-person team spanning accounting, FP&A, and payroll
• Run the year-one ERP consolidation, moving multiple legacy systems onto a single platform
• Tighten the monthly close cycle and standardize reporting across plants
• Partner with operations on product costing, capex requests, and working capital targets

What You'll Bring

• 12+ years of progressive finance experience, including 5+ years leading a team
• Prior finance leadership in manufacturing or another asset-heavy industrial business
• Hands-on experience with lender reporting, debt covenants, and cash forecasting
• Track record leading or co-leading an ERP implementation or consolidation
• Strong command of US GAAP and cost accounting
• Comfort presenting to boards, owners, or institutional investors
• Able to work on-site daily in the Chicago area

Nice to Have

• Prior experience inside a private-equity-owned company
• Exposure to add-on acquisitions and post-close integration
• Familiarity with NetSuite, Epicor, or Dynamics 365
• Experience scaling a finance function through rapid growth
